I'm making bracelets lately and this one is made from brass jump rings bought from The Dragonfly Company.
and heres a close-up,
I wanted brass as the illustration I saw used brass chain but I decided to do the chain bit myself. I've also made this silver plated chain maille one from some jump rings bought from Hobbycraft many months ago.
One book I've seen calls this Queen's chain but another American book calls it Inca Puno chain. This really makes a snake-like chain and would look even better with slightly smaller, silver rings. Finally, when I bought a book called Chain and Bead Jewelry recently from America, the author thought the postage was so high that he sent me free one of his maille kits. It's a celtic key fob with beads included.
Working with jump rings requires very little equipment so is ideal for long trips or to take away on holiday.
