I Answered the "Call of Duty" and Died - Several Times

I bought a copy of Call of Duty a few days ago and today was the first chance I had to install it and give it a go. I know it's odd for a woman to enjoy war related stuff but I've never been what you would call typical. I don't play many first person shooters so I'm uniformly bad at them. I think the last time I played was multiplayer with my brothers about a year and a half ago (I could beat one semi regularly but not the other - die evil brother die!) so that gives you some idea of my overall experience.

Call of Duty is an old game but I've always ummed-and ahhed-over whether to actually buy it and when I saw a copy of the 'Deluxe Edition' while browsing in The Mall I figured what the hell and bought it.

I set the game to the 'ridiculously easy' level and surprisingly this seemed about right. Not too hard that I was dying all the time but still giving a challenge to someone as bad at shooting games as me.

I spent most of today killing Germans, hiding behind my army buddies in the hopes that they'd get killed first and cowering like a scared puppy behind any piece of shrub I could find on the landscape when the shooting started in earnest.

I'm currently stuck somewhere on a ship - I forget the name but it begins with 'T' I've planted all the bombs and destoyed the generators for the mission but I keep getting shredded by the crew when trying to complete the last part of the mission.

My neighbours must hate me - I've had the sound up high on the speakers so all day they'll have been hearing the sound of various guns, tanks and explosions going off. I think I'll give it a rest now - they probably deserve it...
