Aged cat wins battle

For the last few months, a stray, I think, black and white fluffy Persian cat has been creeping into the kitchen at night in order to steal food from the dinner trays left out for my three black cats. The Persian was getting bolder and bolder, venturing into the lounge when it thought no one was around in the middle of the night and staying in the garden during the day sunning itself. Finally Nick, the eldest of my cats decided enough was enough and decided to fight it out. Nick is 15 in cat years which is about equivalent to 80 in human terms. He's arthritic, clingy, and likes to sit on me whenever I sit in my armchair. Nevertheless, they growled at each other and attacked, rolling around in a flowerbed. I rushed to Nick's aid and we both saw the Persian off the premises. A couple of days later, Matt noticed that an abscess had formed on Nick's head and proceeded to help it drain using kitchen towels. It's now healing but has left him with the mark in the centre of his forehead in the picture below:-

Edd at Stonehenge

Edd at Stonehenge

This is my brother Edd, taken at Stonehenge (as if you couldn't guess) on Sunday. He didn't want his picture taken as you can tell from the long-suffering expression he is sporting. I tried to get him to pose with me but he refused. He didn't think I would upload this and that he would be safe..... how little he knows me! (Insert evil maniacal laugh!)

Marriage of Andy and Andrea Moore

One of my friends from University recently got married. I took my camera along as he'd requested people bring them as they'd not got a paid phoographer but on the day there were three 'official' photographers and many many cameras in the audience so I took the view that I would enjoy the experience rather than trying to capture it. I must admit that I didn't get many good photos. The light was bad in the church and I wasn't really seated in a good position for photos. I've uploaded three of my non-blurred ones for you to look at.

The ceremony for Andy and Andrea took place on the 17 March 2007 in London.

Andy and Andrea posing for photos outside the church. It was very windy and although Andy smiled a lot and looked at the camera, Andrea seemed a bit camera shy and kept looking away!

Airbus A380 Landing at Filton, Bristol 26 March 2007

The Airbus A380 did a flypast of my workplace today before landing at Filton Airfield in Bristol. My camera was playing up on it's way past the first time so I gave up and just watched it go by. I took this picture when it had landed. I'm still quite a long way away from it here even though it filled the frame at 75mm and shooting through a fence. I think it's staying in Filton for a week while it has various tests done so hopefully they'll park it somewhere in view so I can head back with a tripod and try and get closer.
