Edd's Graduation

My brother Edward graduated with a degree in Chemistry on 26 October 2005. I've already given him a personal congratulations but I can now give a very public one as well. He graduated from Imperial college, London who hold their ceremony in the Royal Albert Hall. I think the surroundings got to everyone as the ceremony was very staid and people didn't start to loosen up until the very end when the Med students decided to bring some fun into it by cheering and clapping their friends.

Apart from the ceremony, the day didn't seem very well organised. The company taking photographs seemed un-equipped to handle the number of people requiring the service so we had to queue for a long time to get them done. In addition, the after ceremony buffet was meagre considering the price the university charged for it. It consisted of un-identifiable canapes and some very cheap champagne but thankfully a Burger King on the train home meant I didn't starve. Despite all this it was worth going to see my brother graduate and I was very proud when he walked across the stage and his exagerated bow to the person who shakes the graduates hand meant that the moment was memorable. I've only sorted a few photographs out so far from the day as I've tried to make sure that they are good quality and worthy of the pride I have in my brother. It is however lunchtime so I'm afraid little bro that I'm going to eat something first before tackling them. I'm proud of you but you're 200 miles away and my stomach is right here complaining at me ;-).
